Advancing Green Chemistry in Oregon

Advancing Green Chemistry in Oregon is the outcome of a six-month study by the Oregon Green Chemistry Advisory Group, which was convened by Oregon Environmental Council and is comprised of leaders from industry, academia, public agencies and non-governmental organizations. The advisory group believes its recommendations will further the development of green chemistry in Oregon—and help the state maintain its place as a leader of sustainable business. See the report here.

Hi Green Chemtry Education Network PacNW group!

I heard that CDC/ATSDR (Agency for Toxic Substances Disease Registry) may be considering the feasibility of a white paper on schools, chemicals, accidents and existing laws.

Do you know of school accidents involving any chemicals?  What are the worst incidents/substances?  If you could image improved legislation to protect student/teachers, what would those polices look like?

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts about these issues.  Please respond directly, or by open posts, or by calling me at work to discuss: 971-673-1153.

Thank you,
