DESCRIPTION:The Green Chemistry in Education Workshop is for educators
  in the chemical sciences interested in incorporating green or sustain
 able chemistry concepts into the organic chemistry curriculum and labo
 ratory.\nThis five-day workshop held on the University of Oregon campu
 s will be a combination of lectures, discussion, and hands-on time in 
 the laboratory. Leaders in the field will address the need for green c
 hemistry in the undergraduate curriculum and provide strategies for de
 signing, adapting and incorporating new green experiments into existin
 g organic chemistry curricula. The primary goal for this workshop is e
 stablishing a network of chemical educators who are promoting green ch
 emistry and increasing the number of educators who incorporate green c
