One of the nation's premier green chemistry and engineering conferences. The chair of this year's conference is one of the co-founders of Green Chemistry, Dr. John Waner. Confirmed plenary speakers include environmentalist/entrepreneur Paul Hawken, CalTech Nobel Prize wnner in Chemistry Dr. Robert Grubbs, 3M SVP of Research and Technology Commercialization Steven Webster, and US Congress member John Tierney (D-MA), co-sponsor of the Green Jobs Bill. More than 200 technical papers and posters will be presented.
On Monday evening, June 20th, the US EPA will announce the 2010 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (PGCCA) winners. Tuesday morning will feature highlights from PGGCA awardees as well s a special environmental health session with US EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson who will be introduced by newly confirmed US EPA Assistant Administrator for the Office of Research and Development (and co-founder of Green Chemistry), Dr. Paul Anastas. On Thursday, June 24th, an all-day student workshop will be held for pre-registered undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral candidates.
